FAQ: Your Policy Documents
What do I do if I lose one of my auto insurance policy documents?
No matter how organized you might be, everyone loses something at some point. The good news is that unlike loose papers and hard to replace documents, when you have an online auto insurance account with Esurance, your loss is only temporary.
Esurance stores your documents in an online account that you can access at any time. If you lose one of your insurance documents simply log into your account with your email address and password to print a new one. You can do this by going to the “Your Documents" section. In this section you can view and print your insurance cards, billing invoices, and auto insurance policy documents.
If you hate having loose papers around and hate filing them even more, then Esurance is perfect for you. Because your auto insurance documents are always available online, you can choose whether or not to print them. Keep in mind, however, that you do need a hard copy of your insurance card. This document must be kept in your car at all times as proof that you carry auto insurance. Like your other insurance documents, if you happen to lose your insurance card, you can simply print another one.
If you need to make changes to your auto insurance policy, you can do so without even picking up the phone. Changes and even minor claims can be made online, so you can do it on your own time, not someone else’s.
With Esurance, there’s no need to wait by the mailbox hoping that your important insurance documents have finally arrived. Your documents are available to you 24/7. Should your Internet connection go down or if you have a question, you can always call our friendly, helpful customer service representatives. Just like your documents, they’re available round-the-clock to help you.
